Jerusalem meteorologist Anas Al-Hamouri reported that the region will be affected, starting from the hours of Tuesday night - Wednesday (February 4-5, 2025), by a low pressure system accompanied by a very cold air mass of polar origin, bringing with it heavy rain, active winds, and a significant drop in temperatures.

Anas Al-Hamouri confirmed that the expected air depression will be accompanied by heavy rains and active winds, with very limited chances of snowfall on the high mountain peaks. The peak of rainfall will be from Wednesday morning until Thursday evening, while the weather activity will gradually decrease by the end of the week.

Al-Hamouri detailed the weather conditions on Tuesday, February 4, 2025: Relatively moderate daytime weather and temperatures about 4 degrees Celsius higher than their general average. During the evening and night hours, temperatures gradually decrease and the weather becomes partly to mostly cloudy, with a chance of scattered showers, especially in the coastal and northern areas.

The weather will remain cloudy and rainy on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, extending from the northern and central regions to the middle of the Negev, with active winds reaching 60 km/h. During the night hours, the weather will remain generally rainy, with the winds continuing to be noticeably active.

Al-Hamouri Observer indicated that during the dawn and early morning hours of Thursday, February 6, 2025, snow showers are likely to fall on mountain heights that exceed 1,100 meters above sea level, while rain continues in most areas. Winds remain active, as their gusts may reach 70 km/h, while the chances of precipitation gradually decrease with the late night hours, with the chance of scattered rain remaining in the northern and central regions.

As for Friday, February 7, 2025, Al-Hamouri said, “With the dawn hours, there is still a chance for scattered snow showers on heights above 1,200 meters if there is precipitation. During the day, the weather is generally cold, and as the hours progress, the chances of precipitation gradually decrease.”

Temperatures will rise slightly on Saturday, February 8, 2025, but will remain lower than their general average for this time of year, with partly cloudy to clear skies.

The meteorologist warned of the risk of floods and torrents in low-lying areas and valleys, and of landslides on roads due to rainfall, and the damage that active wind speeds may cause.

Al-Hamouri stressed the need to pay attention to the sharp and sudden drop in temperatures during the night hours of Tuesday - Wednesday.
