Informed sources reported to the Jerusalem News Agency that deliberations were held by Father Ibrahim Feltz from the General Secretariat of Church Schools with a number of private school principals in the occupied city of Jerusalem, yesterday in which Father Feltz discussed the issue of participating in the comprehensive strike of Jerusalem schools announced by Jerusalem schools. And the student parents’ committees this morning, Monday 09/19/2022, in protest against the occupation’s attempts to impose the distorted curriculum and the Israeli curriculum.

These sources added that the deliberations resulted in a decision to refuse to participate in the general strike, disregarding the unified national position, and as a result, the administration of the Rosary Sisters School took the initiative to issue a written circular to the parents of the students stating that they should attend school as usual.
It is worth noting that the Rosary Sisters School announced the start of operating classrooms teaching the Israeli curriculum starting from the current academic year, without any consideration of the dangers of this act and the future of the conflict in the region over identity, land, and history with this occupation.
Father Feltz is considered one of the advocates of Israelization and linking private schools in occupied Jerusalem with the Israeli Ministry of Education and the occupation municipality.
