Yesterday, Tuesday, the Israeli occupation authorities released the Jerusalemite prisoner Samer Mutab after 23 years spent in the occupation prisons.
The head of the Jerusalemite Prisoners Committee, Amjad Abu Asab, reported that the occupation authorities re-arrested prisoner Mutaib, moments after his release, and detained him for several hours in the Al-Maksubiya interrogation center, west of Jerusalem.
Abu Asab added that the occupation released Mutab on condition that he not leave his town of Al-Ram until next Saturday, and prevented him from visiting his father and mother’s graves in Jerusalem.
Moataeb was arrested on 8/21/2001 and the occupation court sentenced him to 25 years in prison, on the pretext of belonging to the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and participating in operations against the Israeli occupation.
While he was in captivity, Samer's father died several years ago, and his mother joined him last June.
