On Saturday, the Israeli occupation municipality forced two Jerusalemites to forcibly demolish a two-story building in the Wadi al-Joz neighborhood in occupied Jerusalem.

Mustafa Aramin said in press statements that the occupation forced him and his sister Muhammad to demolish the building, to prevent tens of thousands of shekels from paying the occupation municipality the cost of its crews carrying out the demolition operation.

He explained that the occupation police stormed his house on Thursday night and asked him to carry out the demolition. If it was not demolished by Sunday, municipal crews would demolish the building and oblige him to pay an amount of 90 thousand shekels.

He pointed out that he built the house in 2010, and he lives on the first floor and his sister’s son lives on the second floor, and the area of each floor is 70 square meters.

Mustafa Aramin lives in the house with his wife and four children, the eldest of whom is 13 years old and the youngest of two and a half years, while Muhammad lives with his wife and a one-year-old daughter.

He pointed out that the occupation court issued a decision ordering the demolition of the house at the beginning of this month, and his lawyers were able to freeze the demolition decision until the 21st of the same month, and they refused to freeze the decision again.

Mustafa stated that the forcible demolition was difficult to describe, in addition to the fact that the family had become homeless.
