The Jerusalemite station and freed prisoner, Hanadi Halawani, said that she was subjected to beatings, abuse, deprivation of water and privacy, and imprisonment with drug addicts and female criminals, during her recent arrest by the occupation forces.
Police officer “Halwani,” who was released last Monday evening, recounted the details of her arrest on the twenty-fourth of January, when an occupation intelligence force in “Al-Qishla” stormed her house.
She added that the occupation soldiers began to barbarically search the house, vandalized its contents, and took out all the electronic devices and anything related to them or their children, in addition to stealing many papers, notebooks, and some books.
Halwani indicated that she was transferred to the Al-Qashla Investigation Center, where she was brought into the occupation intelligence room, and was mocked in a way that was very insulting to human dignity.
She said: “They not only restricted my freedom, but they insulted my dignity by trying to photograph me at the Israeli flag. When I refused and moved away from the flag, they pushed me again, so I moved the flag away. They beat me, then immediately I was tied with iron to my hands and feet.”
Halwani indicated that they forced her to either stand or sit on a chair under the flag, but she refused and remained standing for 6 hours, handcuffed with iron on her hands and feet.
She explained that the occupation soldiers dragged her, mocked her, photographed her next to the flag, and took selfies of her and the occupation flag.
Regarding the charges brought against Al-Murabitun, “Helwani,” she explained that they were incitement and support for terrorist operations and a banned organization. The last charge is about “the Al-Murabitun organization,” which are the same charges that were brought against her years ago.
She confirmed that the occupation soldiers prevented her from drinking water throughout the investigation period in Al-Qashla, until they transferred her to the notorious Ramla prison, indicating that she was transferred many times between rooms in a provocative manner, between criminals, insane women, and drug addicts, all to prevent her from having peace and comfort.
She indicated that she was placed in rooms on iron beds without covers or bedding and equipped with three cameras in the corners of the room, and without a door to the bathroom, so she was unable to enter the bathroom normally, while they were only served food once, which is bad food in general, as she described it.
Halwani explained that the abuse continued even after the release decision, and said that she was taken out to the Ramla prison yard for two and a half hours in the cold and rain to increase the abuse until she was released.
On Monday evening, the Israeli occupation authorities released the teacher and Jerusalemite teacher, Hanadi Halawani, from Ramla prison, under unjust conditions that included banishment from Al-Aqsa Mosque until next February 7, and a financial guarantee of 2,000 shekels in addition to a third-party guarantee.
The release decision included the conditions of prohibiting the use of the Internet and social networks until the 17th of next February, and prohibiting communication with a group of people until the 28th of the same month.
The occupation authorities pursue men and women stationed in Al-Aqsa Mosque by arresting and deporting them from it. Deportation decisions vary from a week to 6 months, subject to extension.
