On Thursday morning, extremist settlers stormed the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, through the Mughrabi Gate, with heavy protection from the Israeli occupation police, on the fifth day of the so-called Hebrew holiday of Hanukkah.
The Islamic Endowments Department in occupied Jerusalem stated that dozens of settlers had stormed Al-Aqsa Mosque since the morning, carried out provocative tours of its courtyards, and received explanations about the alleged “temple.”
She explained that the intruders performed Talmudic rituals in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa and on the eastern side of it, under strict protection from the occupation forces, and they also performed provocative dances at the doors of the mosque.
She pointed out that the occupation forces continued to impose restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers to Al-Aqsa, and withheld their personal identities at its external gates, and prevented the entry of some of them.
