Yesterday, Sunday, the Hebrew newspaper “Maariv” published news stating that the Minister of National Security of the Zionist entity, Itamar Ben Gvir, had issued an amendment to the Administrative Release Law stipulating the abolition of the early release of Palestinians from prison.
To clarify the meaning of this amendment and its dimensions, in an exclusive interview with the Beit Al-Maqdis Agency, the lawyer of the Commission for Ex-Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners, Moaz Irshid, stated that the recently amended law by “Ben Gvir” continues the policy of systematic targeting of Palestinian prisoners, and it is not separate from the racist policies pursued by the current Zionist occupation government.
Irshid added that successive “Zionist” governments were refusing to release prisoners early, whether through what is known as “a third reduction in the period” or other measures, but what is happening today is an unprecedented escalation, with the legalization and codification of even the “Al-Mahli” law, which is a law, Through it, the prisoner has the right to obtain a reduction in the days of his detention, by 12 to 20 days, per year of detention, which would enhance the oppression and criminality against the prisoners.
This new Zionist law comes in the context of ongoing attempts to restrict Palestinian prisoners, and in continuation of the policy of terrorism and abuse that is closely linked to this occupation.
