The Islamic Christian Organization for the Support of Jerusalem and the Sanctities warned of a new and widespread round of raids on Al-Aqsa Mosque, called for by biblical associations in memory of the so-called “destruction of the walls.”
The Commission said in a statement today, Tuesday, a copy of which was received by Bayt Al-Maqdis News, that the so-called “Temple Mount Trustees” Association called yesterday in posts on social media for the largest crowd to storm the Holy Mosque and perform Biblical rituals on the Hebrew fast of the seventeenth of Tammuz, which It precedes the so-called anniversary of the destruction of the Temple, for which preparations continue for 20 days.
The authority added that these provocative calls come in light of the undeclared siege imposed by the occupation authorities on Al-Aqsa Mosque, restricting worshipers’ access to the mosque, escalating attacks on the Al-Murabitun and the mosque’s guards, and issuing banishment orders from the mosque against many of them.
The Commission confirmed that it views these violations with extreme seriousness, which witnessed an unprecedented escalation after the Israeli war on the Gaza Strip, in an attempt to impose new facts that would undermine the existing religious and legal status in Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Commission called on the masses of our people, in all their presence, to travel to Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Ribat in it, and to confront any attempt by the settlers to desecrate it and hold Biblical rituals in its courtyards.
The Commission held the occupation authorities fully responsible for the serious repercussions that may result from the continuation and escalation of these violations against Al-Aqsa Mosque.
