The Israeli Magistrate's Court in occupied Jerusalem forced three Jerusalemites to pay about 3 million shekels to a settler, claiming that they assaulted him after a dispute between them.

The Hebrew Channel 7 claimed that “the settler was eating in a restaurant in the Old City of Jerusalem, and a dispute broke out between him and the young men, who attacked him with sticks and clubs.”

She pointed out that the assault incident dates back to 2015, when a lawsuit was filed with the Israeli court, which ruled to pay the settler a compensation amount of 2 million and 750 thousand shekels.

Palestinians are repeatedly subjected to attacks by settlers in their places of residence, work and shops, and the occupation authorities deliberately criminalize them for trying to defend themselves, and they are accused and tried for it with imprisonment or fines of up to thousands of dollars, or sometimes with field execution.
