The Jerusalem Governorate said that the extremist Israeli occupation government continues to carry out its massacres against Palestinian homes in Jerusalem.
The governorate added in a statement: “The Israeli government welcomes US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken with massacres of demolition and displacement and the enactment of laws and legislation that violate international conventions and norms against Jerusalem, its suburbs and its people, in full view of the world, in a blatant challenge to the international community and its resolutions and charters issued by the United Nations.”
She pointed out that the lives and homes of Jerusalemites are threatened at every moment with killing, displacement and demolition, and are on the rise, in light of the racist policy of the Netanyahu-Ben Gvir government, which requires the international community to provide international protection for them under international supervision.
The governorate called on the international community to intervene immediately to stop the daily massacres of demolition and displacement in the occupied city, which were announced and personally supervised by the Minister of National Security in the occupation government, “Itamar Ben Gvir.”
She stated that UN Resolution 2334 issued in 2016 “explicitly condemns the construction and expansion of settlements, the seizure of land, the demolition of homes, and the displacement of civilians in the Palestinian territory occupied since 1967, including Jerusalem, but the successive and current occupation governments consider themselves above international law and do not care about any decisions issued by the international community.”
The Jerusalem Governorate stressed that the failure of the international community to take action against the occupation has made it persist and continue to kill, demolish and displace us.
The International Criminal Court and other international legal bodies and institutions called for considering all the crimes of murder, demolition and displacement taking place in Jerusalem as war crimes, and for the occupation leaders to be brought to fair and impartial international trials.
Since last Sunday, the occupation forces have begun implementing a plan to demolish 14 homes in the city of Jerusalem, in implementation of a series of decisions taken by the Israeli Ministerial Cabinet.
