Yesterday, Sunday, Hebrew media reported that National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir had ordered the Israeli occupation police to prepare to demolish a residential building in occupied Jerusalem.
According to the Hebrew channel “Kan”, the occupation police are preparing, at the behest of Ben Gvir, this week, with the deployment of reinforcements with 500 security personnel, to demolish a building in East Jerusalem, inhabited by about 100 Palestinians, noting that the implementation of the demolition decision has been delayed for years for various reasons.
The channel quoted security officials who warned that the demolition process could lead to the outbreak of violent confrontations in the area.
Jerusalemite sources reported that the building consists of 4 floors and is inhabited by 12 Jerusalemite families in the Wadi Qaddum neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
