The preacher of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, warned of new Judaization projects that the occupation seeks to implement in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa, specifically in the neighborhoods of Wadi Al-Joz, Sheikh Jarrah, and Bab Al-Zawahra.

Sabri stressed that the occupation's evictions of Jerusalemites in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood fall within the framework of displacing Palestinians, Judaizing Jerusalemite neighborhoods, and facilitating settlement expansion in the city of Jerusalem.

He pointed out that the occupation is trying to besiege Al-Aqsa from the northern side by controlling the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in addition to besieging it from the southern side by controlling the Silwan neighborhood.

He stated that the occupation’s plans aim to exploit the current situation in the city of Jerusalem in order to Judaize it and impose new realities, leading to complete control over it and declaring it a unified capital for “world Jewry.”

It is noteworthy that the occupation court decided yesterday to evacuate three Jerusalemite families, including the Diab family, from their homes in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in favor of the “Nahalat Shimon” settlement association.

The occupation court gave the family until July 15 to implement the eviction decision, with the possibility of objecting to the decision within 60 days, noting that the house threatened with eviction includes 3 apartments inhabited by 20 members of the three families.

In recent years, the extremist occupation government has been carrying out the largest eviction and uprooting operation, depriving dozens of Jerusalemite families of their homes in the Old City, the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, and the town of Silwan.

The risks of immediate evacuation extend to more than 150 Jerusalemite families, numbering about 1,000 people, in the Old City and its surrounding neighborhoods.
