Tens of thousands of worshipers performed Friday prayers in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, in the city of Jerusalem, despite the restrictions and military measures imposed by the occupation police at the gates of the mosque and the entrances to the Old City and Jerusalem.

The Islamic Endowments Department in Jerusalem said that 30,000 worshipers performed Friday prayers today in Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the occupation measures and restrictions on worshipers’ access to the mosque.

The Beit Al-Maqdis News correspondent reported that the occupation forces prevented dozens of young men from reaching Al-Aqsa Mosque, and assaulted them by beating and pushing them at the King Faisal, Hatta and Al-Asbat gates.

The correspondent added that the occupation forces arrested the young man, Ahmed al-Rajabi, after assaulting him at Bab al-Asbat, and arrested the young man, Abd al-Rahman Abu Tair, at Bab al-Silsilah while they were heading to al-Aqsa, noting that a number of foreign Muslims were prevented from entering al-Aqsa Mosque through Bab al-Qattanin.

The courtyards of Al-Aqsa Mosque witnessed an intense deployment of the occupation police and special forces.
