Today, Sunday, the Israeli occupation forces obstructed the access of Palestinians, from Jerusalem and the occupied interior, to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The Beit Al-Maqdis News correspondent said that special occupation forces were deployed since the early morning hours in the vicinity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and at its gate.

The reporter added that the occupation forces restricted those arriving to Al-Aqsa, checked the identity cards of some of them, and searched the bags of others, while preventing a number of young men from entering the mosque.

Thousands of Palestinians from Jerusalem and the occupied interior flocked to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque after calls to travel to the mosque on the occasion of the Hijri New Year.

The Israeli occupation authorities have imposed a strict siege on Al-Aqsa Mosque since October 7 of last year, which is visible through permanent iron barriers and barricades at the doors of the mosque and on the roads surrounding it.
