Today, tens of thousands performed Friday prayers in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the restrictions and strict measures imposed by the occupation on access to Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City.
The Department of Endowments and Islamic Affairs in Jerusalem said that about 30,000 worshipers performed Friday prayers inside the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The occupation imposed strict measures to limit the access of worshipers to Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the Beit Al-Maqdis News correspondent reported that the occupation forces deployed in the streets of Jerusalem and the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, and were stationed at its gates.
In the same context, hundreds of Friday worshipers in Al-Aqsa Mosque performed absentee prayers for the soul of the martyr Ismail Haniyeh, head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement.
