The director of the Jerusalem Unit in the Palestinian Ministry of Education, Dima Al-Samman, said, “What happened in some halls prepared for high school exams in the occupied city of Jerusalem, in terms of an attempt to cheat and provide assistance to students in the halls, is nothing but an attempt to lose confidence in the Palestinian curricula in favor of matriculation.”
She added in a special statement to: Jerusalem News Agency What happened is part of organized plans to thwart the Palestinian education system in the city of Jerusalem, and these are suspicious attempts that must be confronted by all means.
Al-Samman reassured the families and students that this will not harm their educational future and will not affect the examination of papers, and that the Palestinian Ministry of Education takes into account this Israeli attack to thwart the Palestinian educational process in Jerusalem, stressing that Jerusalemite students are under the Ministry’s care and are a top priority.
She appealed to “Al-Samman,” in her interview with JerusalemAll national institutions and unions of parents’ committees to serve as a protective support for students in taking the general secondary exams, and to join hands together to protect the future of our children and protect the Palestinian curriculum so that it remains one of the symbols of sovereignty in Jerusalem.
