The Israeli occupation authorities continue bulldozing and excavation works in the lands of the Wadi Al-Rababa neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
Jerusalemite sources reported that occupation forces and settlers were carrying out bulldozing and tampering with the lands of Wadi al-Rababa in Silwan on Wednesday morning.
The lands of the town of Silwan are subjected to a fierce attack by the occupation and settlement associations, represented by the confiscation, seizure, and bulldozing of lands, and carrying out excavation operations in them, in addition to uprooting dozens of trees, and attacking and persecuting the neighborhood’s residents.
Last Sunday, settlers' bulldozers began uprooting trees from the land north of Ain Silwan Mosque in the Wadi Hilweh neighborhood, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The “Elad” settlement organization had previously announced on its official page the start of Judaization excavations in the land of Birkat al-Hamra, which was seized by force weeks ago.
The occupation authorities are seeking to establish a base for the Judaization air train in Wadi Al-Rababa, a suspension bridge between its two banks, a visitor center for settlers, biblical gardens, and an additional facility to steal springs and Silwan water wells.
The occupation forces target vacant lands in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, by planting fake graves, and target the area of Wadi Al-Rababa, Wadi Hilweh, “Al-Saloudha” in Silwan, and Ras Al-Amud.
Settlement associations have been working for years to place fake graves in many areas of the town of Silwan, claiming that they were Jewish cemeteries, and they are being rehabilitated. The occupation forces also placed more than 50 fake graves north of the town.
