Today, Sunday, a legal battle waged by one of the Jerusalemite preachers and sheikhs against the Zionist occupation authorities was crowned with victory.

According to Amjad Abu Asab, head of the Jerusalemite Prisoners’ Families Committee, the battle lasted for 14 months and culminated in the release of Sheikh Ismat al-Hamouri.

On 4/22/2022, the occupation forces arrested Al-Hamouri on the charge of incitement due to the religious lessons and sermons he delivers in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The occupation judiciary had ruled that he be placed under house arrest, banned from the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Old City of Jerusalem, and banned from traveling for a period of fourteen months.

Al-Hamouri spent 40 days in actual prison between Al-Maskobiyeh Prison in Jerusalem and Nafha Prison in the Negev, and six months with an electronic bracelet with house arrest, then the rest of the period under house arrest.
