Ayman Al-Labadi - Palestinian politician and writer
Congratulations to our brothers, sisters, family, friends, and colleagues in general for passing this test
Truly, congratulations to the students of Palestine for reaching the high school exam, and congratulations also to those who passed it, and congratulations to those who excelled in it, and the continuation of this in an occupied country against which all kinds of malicious acts are practiced by all international powers is a certain victory for a deserving people.
It is also important that congratulations be given to the educational body that transmits expertise, for their effort and perseverance, and it is also important that congratulations be also given to the families of these students, because they are an effective contributor to the continuation of this path, and may God bless everyone’s effort, to each one according to his will.
Education in Palestine was the oldest continuous and productive educational process in the entire Arab world, before and after the Mandate government (international crime). Here I remember my maternal grandfather, Abdul Rahman Abdul Baqi Al Labadi (Abu Muawiyah), may God have mercy on him. He obtained an international license from Al-Azhar Al-Sharif in 1932, and went around performing his duties. He was educated in all of occupied Palestine, from Nazareth to Pharaoh. He mastered five languages and translated dozens of valuables. Personally, I devoured the knowledge that came to me through papers he left behind, before he was martyred in 1948.
Palestinian teachers built entire homelands for Arabs and non-Arabs, and established rivers of knowledge in every place they were able to reach. Whatever the situation is today, you must not forget, students, that you are a branch of a great lineage, and a large, full of sacred olive tree that God chose and benefited the country and the people.
We have played a great civilizing role in helping others, despite our displacement and the severing of our social and human contact. Education has transformed us from refugees into fighters, and it must transform us into national and national liberators.
The educational process in Palestine is mechanical. It was like that and still is, and therefore it still produces the same currency, with the difference that the value of this currency is steadily declining, and people still say “leaving” Palestine in the past is better than “bachelor’s” these days, and that is a correct indication. And a sound note.
It is true that all superstructures, without freedom, are essentially of little value. Sometimes they become a kind of necessary habit, but at the same time education alone is the most dangerous tool for transmission, change, and modification for any life of any kind. It can liberate nations, and it can elevate nations. .
This requires sound and sincere management, pure and continuous intentions, and a true and continuous will, which for half a century we have not seen a balanced presence in. We hope and pray that this will change, but this does not mean that Palestine is not capable of doing it, if it is spared from the ordinary and the marginal.
When our homeland is free, we can only restore our cultural role that was stolen and conspired against by the East, the West, and the rest. Remember that well.
Once again, congratulations and well-deserved congratulations.
