The Jerusalemite boy Omar Hussam Yaqoub Shuwaiki (17 years old) was martyred at dawn today, Wednesday, due to the wounds he sustained yesterday evening, by an Israeli settler’s bullets in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

The correspondent of Beit Al-Maqdis News reported the martyrdom of the young man Shuwaiki, from the Al-Thawri neighborhood in Jerusalem, noting that the occupation authorities delayed for hours in revealing his fate, and refused to provide any information about his condition, even to his family or his lawyer.

The reporter added that the occupation forces stormed the martyr's family home and summoned his father for investigation before officially informing him of his son's martyrdom and detaining his body.

It is noteworthy that 80 Jerusalemites were martyred, and 280 others were injured, from October 7, 2023, until the end of last November, according to official statistics issued by the Jerusalem Governorate.
