For the second time in a row, the occupation has placed Jerusalemite journalist Lama Ghosheh between two bitter punishments: either surrender herself to prison for a period of 9 months, or work as a compulsory worker in a nursing home in the city of Rahat in the occupied Negev for a period of 9 months, in a place far from her home and family.

Since 2022, Ghosheh has been facing continuous attacks by the occupation, under the pretext of “incitement” and “identification with terrorist organizations.” She began by being arrested in Hasharon Prison, then transferred to house arrest for 10 months, then working in a home for settler elderly people for 9 months.

Commenting on the occupation’s decision, Ghosheh said: “All available options are a path of oppression and slow death if you decide to be an equal to your occupier and do not identify with it.”
