The Arab Parliament warned of the danger of the Israeli occupation authorities continuing the excavations it is carrying out around Al-Aqsa Mosque, targeting its foundations, and preventing the Islamic Endowments Department from carrying out restoration and maintenance work on the mosque.
Parliament also condemned, in a statement, the Israeli plan to register lands around Al-Aqsa Mosque to Jewish persons in an attempt to Judaize and seize large areas of occupied Jerusalem, and change the historical and religious landmarks of the city.
He called on UNESCO and all international organizations to assume their responsibilities to stop the ongoing aggression against Jerusalem and the holy sites through practical and effective measures, and to send a fact-finding committee by the United Nations to review the situation in Jerusalem, especially the excavations that are taking place around the clock under Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Arab Parliament affirmed its full support for the people of Jerusalem in their steadfastness to protect this great Islamic edifice, calling on the international community to take immediate and urgent action to stop these violations against religious sanctities.
