Today, Tuesday, the residents of Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem organized a stand in front of the Central Court in Jerusalem, in solidarity with the detainees of the “Dignity Intifada.”
The participants in the vigil carried banners reading “Justice” and “Where is democracy?”
The residents said: “Today’s protest is for the sake of the Palestinian youth who were arrested during the recent events that took place in Jerusalem and inside Palestine, and today heavy sentences are being issued against them.”
The families stressed that the prisoners are the ones with dignity and honor, and they are the ones who defended the land and the homeland.
It is noteworthy that the occupation carried out a campaign of arrests against hundreds of young men against the backdrop of protests against the aggression on Gaza, the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, attempts to displace the residents of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem, and settler attacks on citizens during the month of May 2021.
