Palestinian warnings continued about the increase in settlement activity in the areas of the West Bank and occupied Jerusalem, and settlers’ raids on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque doubled during the Jewish holidays, on the eve of the formation of an extremist right-wing government for the Israeli occupation.
Specialists warned of an increase in the approval of settlement projects and an increase in construction bids for settlement units in Jerusalem and the West Bank, as a result of the extremist policies of the upcoming occupation government.
In a related context, Palestinian figures confirmed that Al-Aqsa faces a real danger, in light of settlers’ plans to carry out a large-scale incursion in large numbers on December 18.
Representative Ayman Daraghmeh stated that the settlers’ plan aims to divide Al-Aqsa Mosque spatially and temporally, then demolish it and erect the alleged structure on its ruins.
He stressed the importance of the role of the Palestinians in Jerusalem and the occupied interior, by intensifying the bond in Al-Aqsa Mosque, protecting its sanctity and defending it from the occupation’s plans.
Palestinian calls continue for the necessity of massive mobilization and intensification of ties in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the coming days and to participate in the great dawn prayer there, in light of the settlers’ intention to increase their incursions into the mosque and to commemorate their Jewish holidays inside its courtyards.
It is expected that Al-Aqsa will witness more violations under the extremist occupation government, which will work to Judaize Al-Aqsa Mosque and impose temporal and spatial division, coinciding with the so-called “Jewish holidays.”
Temple groups are preparing to celebrate the so-called Jewish “Hanukkah” holiday in Al-Aqsa Mosque, on December 18, 2022, amid Palestinian calls to confront dangerous Judaization plans.
During the Jewish holidays, settlers seek to crowd in large numbers at Al-Aqsa Mosque, intensify raids, attempt to light the menorah inside Al-Aqsa, and carry out provocations inside the courtyards of the mosque that will last for eight days.
