Thousands of worshipers answered the great dawn call to prayer today, Friday, in the Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem.

Large crowds filled Al-Aqsa's prayer halls and courtyards, in response to the calls of the Mosque's police to confront the settlers' incursions and their plans against the mosque.

The families of Jerusalem participated in the celebration of the great dawn in Al-Aqsa Mosque, in response to the call of the Almoravids for the necessity of crowding in the blessed mosque and intensifying their presence there to protect it from the settlers.

After the dawn prayer, hundreds of worshipers united in the courtyards of Al-Aqsa and held circles of remembrance and reading of the Qur’an, which usually continued until the performance of Friday prayers.

The “Great Dawn” campaign was launched for the first time from the Ibrahimi Mosque in November 2020, to confront the dangers facing the mosque and the repeated incursions of the occupation forces and settlers into it, and then moved to Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Palestinian calls continue for the necessity of massive mobilization and intensification of ties in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in the coming days and to participate in the dawn prayer there, in light of the increase in settlers’ incursions into the mosque and the celebration of their Jewish holidays inside its courtyards.

During the period of the Jewish holidays, not the last of which is Hanukkah, the settlers seek to crowd in large numbers in Al-Aqsa Mosque, intensifying raids, and attempting to light the menorah inside Al-Aqsa, in addition to carrying out provocations inside the courtyards of the mosque that will last for eight days.
