Jordanian Parliament Speaker Ahmed Al-Safadi said that the Council supports the government’s decision to summon the Israeli ambassador in protest against the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque, adding that the provocative practices that threaten more tension and unrest in the region must immediately be stopped.
Al-Safadi added, as reported by the Kingdom of Jordan channel, today, Wednesday, that this insult and desecration of the Holy Land of the Prophets is no longer acceptable, describing the Israeli government as a government of terrorism.
He explained during a legislative session on Wednesday that the Israeli occupation has no sovereignty over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied Jerusalem, and we will remain on the front of truth and steadfastness behind King Abdullah II, the guardian of the holy sites. There will be no compromise on Jerusalem, and the right of Muslims and Christians to it is eternal and historical.
