Palestinian police announced, last Tuesday evening, the discovery of a group of remains of a number of people in the suburbs of occupied Jerusalem.
Palestinian police spokesman Louay Erziqat confirmed in a brief statement yesterday that 11 remains had been found in the suburbs of Jerusalem.
Arziqat stated that “based on information received by the General Investigations Branch of the Governorate Police regarding the presence of human skulls and bones in a mountainous area in the town of Beit Hanina, a force from the branch moved to the location and upon examining it, they found 11 decomposed human remains.”
Azriqat reported the presence of “an unclear piece of metal, suspected to be a sharp tool, and it is suspected that these decomposed remains belong to soldiers who were buried in this place many years ago.”
He added, "The Public Prosecution, the Forensic Medicine Department, and those present at the scene were informed. In turn, the Public Prosecution ordered the remains to be referred to the Forensic Medicine Institute to complete the necessary procedures in this regard."
