About 200 Palestinians living in the village of Khan Al-Ahmar, east of occupied Jerusalem, are awaiting an unknown fate, with the Israeli occupation government soon to provide its final response regarding the evacuation of the Bedouin village, in preparation for its demolition and the displacement of its residents.

It is expected that the extreme right-wing occupation government will implement the decision to demolish the Bedouin village in the near future, after the Israeli Supreme Court approved a request from the “Regavim” settlement organization, which is headed by the head of the “Religious Zionism Party,” Finance Minister Yitzalel Smotrich.

According to the Hebrew newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth, the Israeli government will have to respond, within two weeks, to the petition submitted by the right-wing organization Regavim to the Supreme Court to order the evacuation of the village of Khan al-Ahmar.

The people of Khan Al-Ahmar live in a state of constant anticipation and fear that the occupation army will implement the decision to permanently evacuate them from their homes, in preparation for their demolition and removal from existence.

Khan al-Ahmar is located near the settlements of “Maale Adumim” and “Kfar Adumim.” It has an area of 40 dunums and includes more than 40 families living in tents and tin houses, and others in mobile “caravans” funded by the European Union.

In preparation for the response and ruling in the case, which is considered one of the most explosive cases in the political arena, Knesset members from the “Otzma Yehudit” party, led by Israeli Minister of National Security Itamar Ben Gvir, organized a tour of the place to which the residents of Khan al-Ahmar will be expelled, amid strict security measures.
