An atmosphere of tension still prevails inside Israeli prisons, especially Megiddo and Gilboa prisons, after the prisoners announced the start of disobedience steps, in protest against the measures of the Occupation Minister, Ben Gvir, against them.

This comes in the wake of the prison administration’s threats to implement punitive measures if the prisoners persist in their protest steps, in response to the decisions of the so-called Ben Gvir.

A state of tension prevailed in Nafha Prison yesterday, Tuesday, following one of the guards’ provocation of the prisoners during the so-called security examination.

Sections 3 and 4 of Nafha Prison exploded with anger and shouts of takbir after the jailers threatened the prisoners with “Ben Gvir” punishments during the periodic security check.

Yesterday, the prisoners in the occupation prisons began carrying out disobedience steps in response to the announcement of their intention to implement the measures of the extremist Minister (Ben Gvir), and among the prisoners’ steps was to obstruct the so-called (security examination).

The Supreme National Emergency Committee for the Prisoner Movement confirmed in a statement that whoever decides to fight the prisoners with a loaf of bread and water will respond with a battle for freedom or martyrdom.

The prisoners of “Nafha” prison began the first protest steps, according to the plan approved by the Supreme Emergency Committee, which consisted of closing sections, disrupting aspects of life, and not going out for security checks.

It is noteworthy that Ben Gvir’s latest decision against prisoners was yesterday, setting a time for showering and reducing the amount of water for prisoners in Nafha and Gilboa prisons.

The Supreme Emergency Committee of the National Prisoner Movement decided to initiate a series of steps, beginning with disobedience and ending with an open strike, in response to Ben Gvir’s measures against the prisoners.

She stated in a statement on Monday that the open hunger strike will begin on the first of the holy month of Ramadan, with unified demands from the prisoners and a unified leadership, noting that the scale of aggression that the prisoners have faced since the beginning of the year requires all our people and their living forces to support them with all tools.
