Corresponding to Shawwal 15, 1444 AH
Gentlemen, members of the General Body of the Arab Orphan Committee Association, may God protect them
the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan
May the peace, blessings, and mercy of God be upon you
We offer you our best greetings from Jerusalem, the land of bondage and steadfastness. We ask God to grant you continued health and well-being, and we appreciate
Your blessed efforts in preserving the mission of the founders of the Arab Orphan Committee to this day, and we are all confident that you are good
Who carries this message and fulfills the trust?
Dear brothers,,,
The history of the Industrial Secondary School is no secret to you. This Jerusalem edifice bears witness to the cohesion of the Jordanian position
The Palestinian Authority has supported the steadfastness of the people of Jerusalem since 1967, when this edifice stood tall in the face of occupation attempts.
Controlling land and construction, which was inaugurated by His Majesty King Hussein, may God have mercy on him.
Here we must emphasize the fact proven by the facts in the city of Jerusalem in recent years, that the line
The strongest and most important defense of the Arab identity of the city and its institutions is mainly represented by the popular support of Jerusalem and its steadfastness
Hence, the popular frameworks concerned with the school issue must be dealt with as a strategic asset for preservation
The school and its mission, not as an adversary, and its real participation in the future decision-making process.
Developed out of basic community participation in the success and sustainability of any real institutional development work.
And later the recent decisions issued by the management of the Arab Orphan Committee Association and its subsidiaries, including termination of services
Teachers, employees, and school guards, closing crafts and workshops, and informing students and their families to search for a school
An alternative for the next academic year 2023/2024. This is in preparation for the closure of the school and the resulting crisis and consequences.
It led to the intervention of many parties and parties.
We believe that getting out of the crisis and restoring the school to its educational and national status is mainly achieved by preserving the school
The current status of the school, with all its facilities and lands, as a charitable educational institution, and maximum exploitation.
These facilities will respond positively to the following demands:
Firstly/ Freezing the decisions issued by the management of the Arab Orphan Committee Association and its subsidiaries regarding dismissal
Teachers, staff and guards during the 2022/2023 academic year.
secondly/ Adopting a single administrative authority for the Arab Orphan Society, as was the case previously, which is the Board of Trustees of the Society in Jordan
An administrative committee in Jerusalem includes national Jerusalemite figures who are close and familiar with the reality of Jerusalem and the school.
Third/ Cancellation of decisions to close workshops and crafts, and reactivation of workshops that were closed by a decision of the Arab Orphan Committee during the academic year 2022/2023.
Specifically in April 2023, which are:
- Hotel management
- Automechatronics
- Graphic design
- Use electricity
- Carpentry and decoration
- Lathing and leveling
- Central heating and plumbing
- the computer
FourthlyThe number of crafts and occupations in the future should not be less than the number applicable during the academic year 2022/2023.
There are (8) letters referred to in the third clause, and any closure of any craft or professional workshop is a concern
Eight is only possible after adding a new craft or operator.
Fifth/ Any development vision for the school must first: take into account the “sensitive” occupation legal and regulatory situation.
The school lands are under constant threat of confiscation, and this requires administrative reform of the association and its frameworks
emanating from it, so that all legal and procedural pretexts are blocked for the intervention of the so-called “Israeli Registrar of Associations.”
secondly/To be compatible with secondary industrial education in accordance with the policies of the Palestinian Ministry of Education that lead to
The student completes university education, and the introduction of vocational training (completion track or apprenticeship) does not take place
Calculating the high school diploma... rather, it is a supplement to it.
SixthlyAny craft or workshop adopted within the school is in accordance with the policies of the Palestinian Ministry of Education
It leads to the student completing university education, and all crafts students are allowed to take the high school exam.
Seventh/ Providing the necessary needs of the teaching staff that are appropriate to the reality of the school based on the official formation of the Ministry
And not as is currently done according to the policy of “managing matters with the existing staff,” and the six teachers who were dismissed are given the final
For the academic year 2021/2022, the right to return to work and fill the gap in school.
Eighth/ Re-opening registration for the tenth grade and for all occupations without restrictions or conditions from any party, in order to support
The school has the largest possible number of students in all areas, and conducts the necessary promotional campaigns.
Ninth/ Immediately starting the procedures for endowment of land at the Department of Endowments and Affairs of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque
To preserve the land from any attempt to control it by the occupation and its authorities.
Tenth/ Maintaining the current status of all school facilities, including administration buildings, workshops, homes, and more
Make any change in this reality.
eleven/ Completing the procedures for establishing the Arab Orphan Alumni Association and cooperating with it.
And in conclusion It is necessary to emphasize the importance of preserving the national and historical dimension of the industrial school
Preserving the land, the national curriculum, and the school, and emphasizing that this educational edifice is a responsibility
All Jerusalemites, Palestinians, and Jordanians are committed to preserving it, supporting it, and ensuring its continuity.
