The Zionist occupation authorities informed the family of the Jerusalem prisoner, Islam Al-Faroukh, of their intention to demolish their house tonight in the city of Ramallah. Only a few minutes passed before the occupation forces stormed Beitunia, south of Ramallah, where his family’s home is, and Kafr Aqab, north of Jerusalem, where Al-Faroukh’s house is.
Al-Faroukh has been detained by the occupation forces since 11/29/2022, and the occupation accuses him of carrying out the double bombing operation in the center of occupied Jerusalem, on 11/23/2022, which targeted a bus station and another site, during which two settlers were killed.
Al-Faroukh was subjected to a harsh interrogation in the basements of the occupation intelligence in Al-Maskobiyya, and his famous statement when he was brought before the occupation courts was, “I am a Palestinian Muslim from Jerusalem.”
On 3/5/2023, the Occupation Court approved a decision to demolish Al-Faroukh’s house and his family’s house, and the Occupation Supreme Court upheld this decision on 4/10/2023, and this was preceded by taking measurements of the houses on 1/25/2023.
