The occupation forces stormed the “Bab al-Rahma” prayer hall yesterday, Wednesday, the first day of Eid al-Adha, and closed the doors amid the presence of dozens of worshipers in its vicinity on the morning of the first day of Eid al-Adha.
The occupation forces carried out sabotage operations in the prayer hall and destroyed a number of its contents, in an effort to prevent the presence of worshipers and stationed people in its vicinity.
Tens of thousands of Palestinians performed Eid al-Adha prayers in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and celebrated in its courtyards, despite the occupation’s restrictions and strict measures in the city of Jerusalem.
Yesterday, on the day of the Arafa Pact, the occupation authorities submitted a request to extend the closure of the “Bab al-Rahma” prayer hall, claiming that it constitutes a strategic point for the Almoravids.
It is worth noting that the Israeli occupation forces arrested dozens of Palestinians after Eid al-Adha prayers yesterday from the vicinity of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the arrests included about 18 people.
