Although the Zionist military operation on Jenin and its camp has ended, the popular interaction in Jerusalem with the event is still ongoing, taking on other forms.
As soon as the Zionist occupation forces announced their withdrawal from the vicinity of Jenin camp, the popular forces in Jerusalem rushed to launch initiatives and campaigns to rebuild what the occupation had destroyed during its aggression on the camp.
The Supreme Committee for National and Popular Action in Jerusalem issued a statement on Wednesday afternoon, addressing the position of the popular situation in Jerusalem regarding the recent Zionist aggression on Jenin.
The Commission confirmed in its statement that the occupation is practicing the highest levels of criminality today with American and British support and cover, stressing that what is happening in Jerusalem in terms of implementing collective punishment policies and targeting the people of Jerusalem, the latest manifestation of which was the expulsion of Sheikh Najeh Bakirat from Al-Aqsa Mosque, is complementary to the Zionist aggression in the West Bank, Gaza, and all the occupied Palestinian territories.
In its statement, the Authority called for providing all forms of financial and moral support to those steadfast in the face of the occupation in Jenin camp, and activating all forms of popular activities in Jerusalem and Palestine, and in all places where the Palestinian people are present. It also called on all supporters of the Palestinian cause in the world to participate in these activities.
The Authority concluded its statement by calling for the building of a joint struggle program by the national and Islamic forces, and called on the Palestinian Authority to end the Oslo Accords and withdraw recognition of the occupying entity.
