A Jerusalemite girl was moderately injured when she was shot by the occupation forces in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood, in the center of occupied Jerusalem.

Several gunshots were heard in the vicinity of Haim Barliev Street, north of the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in Jerusalem, and the Occupation Police Commissioner, Yaakov Shabati, rushed to the scene.

According to Jerusalemite sources told Bayt Al-Maqdis Agency, the occupation police forces shot a Jerusalemite woman, believed to be an elderly woman, for allegedly trying to carry out a stabbing attack in the place, and she was hit with several bullets in the lower part of her body.

The occupation forces arrested the woman and took her to an unknown destination, while her identity had not been revealed until the moment this news was published.

It is worth noting that “Haim Bar Lev” Street in Sheikh Jarrah has witnessed several stabbings, shootings, and run-overs against the occupation forces in previous periods, and the headquarters of the Occupying Jerusalem District Police is located on the street, which was known as the Police Academy before the Zionist occupation of East Jerusalem.
