Ayman Al-Sharbati - a Jerusalemite prisoner and a Palestinian writer
Dear Secretaries-General: Within the framework of this article, I will try to answer the question of this title, based on the following hypothesis, which is that those who are primarily and ultimately responsible for the curse of division are those who created it, that is, the Hamas and Fatah movements, and that the rest of the organizations are as innocent of it as the wolf is of the blood of Joseph.
So, let us first address the call made by Mahmoud Abbas to hold this meeting. According to my humble opinion, it is a rightful call for what is wrong. If it was rightly meant, the PA’s security services would not have launched a fierce campaign of arrests against the resistors. Thus, the Authority would have completed what the occupation had begun with its campaign against Jenin camp, and here the leaders of the security services expressed their good intentions, but to “Netanyahu,” and Abu Mazen entered on the back of the “Israeli” tank.
Whoever listens thoughtfully and thoughtfully to Abu Mazen’s speech in the camp cannot help but say to himself: “The voice is Abu Mazen’s voice, but the hands are the hands of Hussein al-Sheikh, who is sparing no effort in transforming the Authority into a company that sells security services to the Israeli occupation in exchange for clearing money.
As for Hamas’ response to the call, it was not innocent, because it prepared, above all, to scatter the ashes of procrastination and procrastination in the eyes of our public opinion. At the same time, its response is a card it uses to cover up the nakedness of its monopoly over power in Gaza. Didn’t it impose taxes on goods coming to the Strip from the West Bank under the pretext that they are goods? Foreign imported from abroad, but then retreated under pressure from public opinion?
My brothers, the Secretaries-General: Nature cannot tolerate a vacuum, so the struggle vacuum left by the two sides of the division (Fatah and Hamas) due to their preoccupation with dividing the melon of power in the serenity of spoils was transformed into a womb, and the new Palestinians were born from the ashes of the old Palestinians, who were burned in the hearth of division. Our lone wolves, such as: Muhannad Al-Halabi and Omar Abu Laila, may God have mercy on them, are the vanguards of this blessed birth. The fertility of this generation’s womb doubled, giving birth to the Jenin Battalion and the Lions’ Den, and thus the new generation of Palestinians was born, armed with their national and religious nature, to destroy with their revolutionary violence the idols of the Liberation Organization, and to overthrow With their innocence and boldness in the priesthood of political Islam, whose sheikhs deify people because they claim that they are the sword of God drawn from the sheath of prophecy.
Dear Secretaries-General: The meetings of the two sides of the division are useless and unnecessary. They are a luxury. Did they not meet in Mecca? Did they not swear, while clinging to the curtains of the Kaaba, to protect Palestinian blood? However, they did not hesitate to create division as soon as they returned from the pretext of reconciliation. Beware of them, they are the kings of political arrogance. They see themselves as the heroes of the national scene, and the rest of the organizations are just a revolutionary “composite” for them. They come together only to recycle the garbage of division in the containers of power, but thank God. However, our political system does not derive its legitimacy from their meetings and disputes, but rather from the blood of its righteous martyrs, the tears of its orphans, and the sweat of its widows. The national unity to which we aspire was embodied in its finest form and demonstrated in its finest form, through the cohesion of the resistance fighters in the lion’s den and in the Jenin battalion.
Dear Secretaries-General: Let us lay the foundation stone among us to develop a new national strategy based on the lesson we learned from the Battle of Jenin, whose martyrs wrote for us with their blood.
First: Oh God, and oh we are alone and united, our catastrophe will not be repeated because we will fight and kill and be killed while we remain here and will not leave.
Second: Just as Palestine was occupied in stages, we will liberate it in stages, and just as we liberated Gaza from “Sharon” and “Mofaz,” we will liberate the West Bank from “Netanyahu” and “Ben Gvir.”
Fourth: We must dissolve the Authority so that the occupation bears its responsibilities and pays the price for its crimes, because the presence of the Authority has become a burden on the Palestinian national project, and the trembling among those who descended from Mount Uhud, to collect the spoils of ranks and salaries in the security documentation bag, will tell you: “Dissolving the Authority will bring us into a state of chaos.” New maze. We respond to them: “This opinion is baseless. Our people are destined to drive through sharp turns and rough roads. Wasn’t this driving in a maze that took it as far as Tunisia in North Africa?! The first intifada was what brought us back to our homeland.
Dear Secretaries-General: If someone had told you, before the Arabs took these great steps towards glory as they emerged from the shadows of the catastrophe and setback, in the 1973 war, that the Egyptian army would cross the canal and destroy the “Bar Lev” line, and that Hezbollah would defeat the army that cannot defeat evil. Defeat in the year 2000, and that the Palestinians, with their own strength, would liberate the Gaza Strip and build resistance camps in place of the settlements. You would have said to yourself, saying: “Forget him, he is an Arab who ravens about defeats and (the flu) of defeats.” But human nature is a mine of miracles. Didn’t God create us from clay? He breathes into us his immortal spirit. The spirit generated by God Almighty is our compass towards freedom.
