Not only did the Zionist occupation expel the Sub Laban family from Jerusalem from their home in the Old City, the settlers and the occupation government are still pursuing this family.
The Hebrew newspaper “Haaretz” reported that settlement organizations had filed a lawsuit against the Sub Laban family, demanding that they pay 17,187 shekels to the occupation police in exchange for 160 hours of police work during the process of expelling the family from their home.
The matter did not stop there, as the lawsuit stated that the Sub Laban family was required to pay more than 17,187 shekels to a private contracting company that vacated the house.
In addition to all of this, the family owes more than 13,000 shekels for the settlers' legal expenses that led to the evacuation of the house.
What happened to the Sub Laban family leads us to think about more scenarios to confront the battle of demolition and evacuation in Jerusalem, and to rely more on Palestinian Jerusalemite popular action, and Arab and Islamic support for it, to withstand this battle.
