Bayt Al-Maqdis Agency, through its monitoring of what happened today in Jerusalem, monitored a number of statements that denied belonging to Abu Tayeh’s list, and called for a boycott of the elections.

Among those statements is the statement of a member of the Zaghir family, who denied any participation in Abu Tayeh’s list, and said: “I deny that completely and in detail, and accused the so-called Walid Abu Tayeh of trying to distort my father’s name and drag him into this treasonous act. The so-called Abu Tayeh wants to photograph itself as an extension of a popular will demanding involvement in the occupation’s municipality, and God is far from it as heaven is from earth, and Jerusalem will remain Islamic and Arab despite the attempts of the occupation and its henchmen to undermine its identity.”

As for the Al-Qiq family, it stated in its statement denying the participation of one of its sons in the occupation’s municipal elections: “The municipality established on the occupied land of Jerusalem is an integral part of the Zionist institution that occupies our land, desecrates our sanctities, and kills and besieges our people, and participating in the elections of this municipality is forbidden by law.” “It contradicts all national values and norms.” The Sobeih family confirmed their firm position of refusing to participate in the occupation’s elections, as they said in their statement, which denied the participation of any of their sons in the Abu Tayeh list: “We will never be part of this racist, occupying, Judaizing institution, and we renew our categorical and complete denial of any relationship with us.” With the names mentioned or any list related to the candidates and their names mentioned in any way.”
