Friday afternoon, 8/25/2023, witnessed a dangerous escalation in the vicinity of Al-Aqsa Mosque, after the end of Friday prayers, which was attended by 50,000 worshipers.

During the morning hours, the Zionist occupation police forces intensified their presence on the roads to Al-Aqsa and the Old City, and set up dozens of flying checkpoints.

After the end of Friday prayers, the occupation forces attacked worshipers in the vicinity of the Lions Gate and the Hebron Gate, and used tear gas and rubber bullets.

Friday's event can be read in two contexts: the context of the place, as the occupation seeks to close the Lions' Gate and completely control the entry and exit of Palestinians through it, and what also happened in front of the Hebron Gate, as it is the spearhead of targeting with many Judaization projects, on lands leaked to the occupation.

The second context is the context of the security item in the (old and modern) five-year plan, which stipulated the intensification of the military presence of the occupation in Jerusalem, and of course the factor of Zionist provocation from the crowds of stationed people and those coming to Al-Aqsa on Friday cannot be overlooked.

All of this comes while the Palestinian, Arab and Islamic situation is still ignorant of the issue of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, which represents the heart of the nation’s first central issue.
