The extremist temple groups’ announcement of their annual program of what is called “simulation of the Passover sacrifice” recorded a significant decline this year after they announced for the first time in years the implementation of this ritual outside the entire city of Jerusalem, specifically in the “Mitzpe Jericho” settlement.

Extremist temple groups organize a ritual simulating the Passover sacrifice every year on the 10th of Nisan, which this year falls on Thursday, as the day on which the sacrifices are purchased and prepared for slaughter inside the # Al-Aqsa Mosque. The extremist temple groups approached Al-Aqsa Mosque every year to carry out their rituals, and during that time they sought to carry out the rituals inside Al-Aqsa Mosque, but this year they came and retreated due to the # Gaza war and what the occupation cities and settlements are going through as a result of the Al-Aqsa flood.

The extremist temple groups had begun the process of reviving the sacrifice as the culmination of the religious rituals in the alleged temple according to their religious imagination, and began qualifying the so-called “class of priests” and training them annually in the rituals of the sacrifice, taking this as an entrance to the moral establishment of the temple in the land of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the path to its physical establishment. ; Over the course of 15 years, attempts to organize this training ritual went through several stages, the most notable of which are:

2008: The “New Sanhedrin” council, which consists of the rabbis of the West Bank settlements, submitted a petition to the occupation court in cooperation with the “Temple Institute,” demanding that the sacrifice be imposed in Al-Aqsa.

2012 The case of imposing sacrifices reached the “Supreme” Occupation Court, which rejected it for “inability” and not for lack of eligibility.

2014: The temple groups began working to revive the sacrifice by imitating and applying it outside Al-Aqsa, by training the priestly class on the sacrifice in “Kiryat Moshe” established on the land of the village of Lifta, which was displaced in 1948, west of Jerusalem.

2015: Temple organizations performed a full, uninterrupted simulation in an open space in the Shiloh settlement on the Qaryut lands northeast of Ramallah.

2016: After ensuring that the sacrificial ritual was mastered; Temple groups move the simulation to the Mount of Olives east of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

2017: Temple groups transported the offerings into the Old City in front of the “Synagogue of Destruction” for the first time since the occupation of Al-Aqsa.

2018: Temple groups carried out a simulation of sacrifice adjacent to the southern Al-Aqsa wall in the Umayyad palaces area.

2019: A simulation of sacrifice on the roof of the Welders’ Market, opposite the Dome of the Rock.

2020: The Corona epidemic interrupts the procession of imposing the Eucharist; While Al-Aqsa Mosque was suspended for 69 days without real health justification.

2021: Moving the Eucharist simulation to the Davidson Center square inside the Moorish Gate in the Old City.

2022: The imitation of the sacrifice returns to the Umayyad palaces adjacent to the southern Al-Aqsa wall.

2023: Rituals are held in the Davidson Center square, southwest of Al-Aqsa Mosque; This is with the participation of a group of its activists, who are qualified to transform into the class of “priests” for the alleged temple.

Over 15 years of reviving the legend; After 9 years of actually simulating it, there was not a corner left in which the sacrifice did not wander around Al-Aqsa Mosque. East, west, north and south; In an effort to impose it within Al-Aqsa... However, this year witnessed a decline in the program for simulating sacrifices in an unexpected way, as an inevitable result of the Battle of the Flood.
