Today marks the 21st anniversary of the operation carried out by Qassam martyr Abdul-Muati Shabana from the city of Hebron, who blew himself up inside a Zionist bus near the “Klal” complex in occupied Jerusalem, killing 17 Israelis and wounding dozens.
The martyr Abdul-Muati Muhammad Salih Shabana was born in the Jabal al-Rahma neighborhood in the center of Hebron on May 18, 1985. He was the youngest of eight brothers and sisters. His father died before the Al-Aqsa Intifada, and he was the youngest of his brothers and the spoiled one in his family. At the same time, his heart was attached to the love of martyrdom.
The martyrdom operation of Abdul-Mutti Shabana came in the midst of the Al-Aqsa Intifada, after the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) and its military wing, the Al-Qassam Brigades, vowed revenge after a failed attempt by the occupation forces to assassinate the martyr leader Abdul-Aziz Al-Rantisi on 6/10/2003.
The martyr Shabana recorded a video and put his will to his people, leaders, military personnel and politicians, and said that “his response will be painful to the massacres committed by Sharon against the Palestinian people.”
Shabana blew himself up on an “Israeli” passenger bus at a few minutes to 5:30 pm on Wednesday, June 11, 2003, near the “Klal” complex in the occupied city. The occupation admitted to killing 17 “Israelis” and wounding dozens of them.
