Israeli occupation ministers and settler groups launched a massive incitement campaign against the preacher of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri, after his mourning of the martyr Commander Ismail Haniyeh, today, during the Friday sermon in Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Israeli Interior Minister Moshe Erbil demanded that Sheikh Sabri’s identity be withdrawn, under the pretext of “committing security violations and breach of trust.” The minister denounced his demand for the obituary of the martyr Haniyeh at Al-Aqsa, as he was one of those responsible for the “October 7” events.

The Minister of the Interior’s request stated, “Article 11A of the Entry into Israel Law gives the Minister of the Interior the authority to cancel the permanent residence permit for committing an act that constitutes a breach of trust.”

He asked the government's legal advisor to help him complete the procedures for withdrawing the identity of Sheikh Sabri.

Meanwhile, the Minister of National Security in the occupation government, Itamar Ben Gvir, called on the Public Prosecution to open an immediate investigation into Sheikh Sabri on the pretext of incitement and encouragement of terrorism.

For her part. The occupation police said that they had begun examining Sheikh Sabri’s sermon at Al-Aqsa to see if there was any “incitement” in it, and stated in its statement, “Based on the data, the necessary steps will be taken.”

Meanwhile, the groups of the alleged temple and their means of communication began publishing a clip of the obituary of the martyr Haniyeh in Al-Aqsa, and demanded that he be “expelled and eliminated.” They also called for attacking him in his home in the Al-Sawana neighborhood, east of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Sheikh Ikrimah Sabri holds the position of President of the Supreme Islamic Council, Imam and Preacher of the Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and one of the most important religious and social authorities in the city of Jerusalem.
