Palestinian activist Muhammad Jad Allah (Abu Nihad), who hails from the town of Sur Baher, south of Jerusalem, passed away today, Monday, at the age of 103.

Abu Nihad studied in Sur Baher schools, obtained his high school diploma, and worked at the King David Hotel before it was blown up by Zionist gangs in 1947.

Jad Allah volunteered to defend Jerusalem after the decision to partition Palestine was issued. He joined the Holy Jihad Army and received military training at the Qatana camp in Damascus, where he met the martyred leader Abdul Qader al-Husseini.

Jad Allah participated in the Battle of Qastal, and many battles during the 1948 war, such as: Sur Baher, Kfar Etzion, Sheikh Jarrah, Deheishe, and others.
