The occupation forces announced at dawn today that they had carried out a shooting operation in the occupied city of Jerusalem, injuring 7 people, 3 of whom were seriously injured.

The occupation police intensified the arrests after the operation in the town of Silwan, south of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, as they arrested the freed prisoner Montaser Al-Shuyukhi after his arrest and the detention of his mother, the defender Asmaa Al-Shuyukhi, his brother Karim and his sister Raghad at dawn today in the town of Silwan, in addition to the young man Maher Sarhan, who was arrested by special units in his home located in the same town.

For 6 hours, intensive searches continued in the city of Jerusalem, with checkpoints set up in various areas and many young men arrested in an attempt to determine who carried out the shooting.

According to the Hebrew Channel Kan and the Israeli army radio, it was claimed that the perpetrator of the shooting operation from the city of Jerusalem (A.S.), 25 years old, from the town of Silwan, surrendered himself to the occupation forces after his family was arrested. The Hebrew sources stated that the perpetrator toured the city of Jerusalem with ease after carrying out the operation for 6 hours, while the special forces and police were launching a large-scale arrest campaign in various areas of occupied Jerusalem.

Medical sources in the occupation announced that seven settlers were injured in a shooting attack that took place in the Old City of occupied Jerusalem. They added that two of the injuries were serious, three of them seriously, while the rest of the injuries were moderate and minor. They were all transferred to Shaare Zedek Hospital in occupied Jerusalem.
