Recently, Hebrew sources published a statement by Itamar Ben Gvir, leader of the “Jewish Power” party, in which he pledged to change the current situation in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially with regard to settlers’ incursions and their prayers there.


Bin Ghubair continued in his statement that he would “prevent racist policies on the Temple Mount,” as he put it, which would lead to a noticeable change and improvement in the current situation.


In this context, Jerusalemite researcher Fakhri Abu Diab said in a press interview that “Ben Gvir” will try to tighten the situation in Al-Aqsa Mosque in favor of the settlers, and will try to impose the Israeli plan on Al-Aqsa Mosque, especially since Ben Gvir carries an ideology based on changing the status quo in Al-Aqsa on the historical level. And the legal and everything that exists now.


He continued in his speech that Gvir will seek to impose this matter and cut off part of Al-Aqsa Mosque for the benefit of the settlers, and “I think that the coming days will be more heated as a result of the attempts and ambitions of Ben Gvir and the other settler groups that carry the same ideas as him and are trying to impose Jewish facts on Al-Aqsa Mosque.”


Abu Diab confirmed that the plans of the settlers and Ben Gvir will be thwarted by the Palestinians, the Murabituns, and the Murabitat. Therefore, the escalation in Al-Aqsa Mosque is a feature that will be in the coming days, especially in light of the change of the occupation government from an extremist government to an even more extremist government.


It is noteworthy that “Ben Gvir” is assigned the position of Minister of Internal Security in the new occupation government, and he confirmed during his previous statements that he will seek to impose new instructions regarding shooting at Palestinians, and to enact new legislation to deport the families of those who carried out operations in the occupied territories.
