Jerusalem Agency - Jerusalem
Today, the Israeli occupation police closed the main street connecting the north and south of Jerusalem, known as Street No. 1, under the pretext of the presence of a suspicious object in the area.
The Beit Al-Maqdis Agency correspondent said that the police summoned explosives experts and a reinforced force of police and occupation border guards to the section opposite the Jewish neighborhood of Mea Shearim and completely stopped traffic for more than forty minutes, during which they caused chaos and major traffic congestion in the center of the city.
The correspondent pointed out that it later became clear that there were no explosives and that the matter was nothing more than a suitcase and a bag of garbage.
It is noteworthy that the city of Jerusalem has witnessed, since this morning, the occupation forces being on alert, who set up checkpoints and restricted citizens following the careful inspection procedures they used to target them following two bombings that took place west of Jerusalem, which resulted in one dead person and 19 injuries, including two in a hopeless condition.
