In his office on the university’s main campus, the President of Al-Quds University, Prof. Imad Abu Kishk, signed an academic and research cooperation agreement with the President of the Turkish University of Kutahya Dumlupinar, Prof. Kazim Uysal, in the presence of his deputy, Prof. Hasan Kocmaz, and from the university, the Vice President, Prof. Hasan Dweik, the Assistant President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, Prof. Hussein Jadoua, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Moatasem Hamdan, the Vice President for Medical and Health Affairs, Dr. Rania Abu Seir, and from the Faculty of Science, Dr. Jawad Shaqir.
Prof. Abu Kishk touched on the university’s efforts to connect students and graduates to the labor market through its various academic partnerships, in addition to its work to build a university research environment that places scientific research, creativity and leadership at the top of its priorities, in order to empower Palestinian and Jerusalemite youth to create their own opportunities and businesses, and to advance the community’s reality cognitively, economically and professionally.
He added that the university has established incubators for leadership and creativity and has disseminated this culture among students by motivating students to acquire leadership skills and abilities and conscious creative thinking, indicating that the university's strategy is based on the transformation from an educational university to a research university, expressing his happiness at building academic and research relations, including student and academic exchange with the Turkish university.
In turn, the Hungarian representative expressed his happiness with the partnership and work with the university, as he considered his visit to the university an opportunity to develop relations with the university on the research and academic levels, and an important point for working on academic and student exchange, which improves the opportunities for students and university graduates, stressing his aspiration to build a fruitful partnership at all levels with the university.
Al-Quds University seeks to establish partnerships and study areas of local and regional cooperation in order to provide diverse opportunities for work and academic exchange for its students, and in implementation of its vision that supports the development of society in general, and seeks to develop the field of scientific research such as developing its teaching methods for undergraduate students in recent years, and integrating the theoretical and practical education processes as in the specializations of the dual studies program, in order to reduce unemployment rates among young people and help them integrate into the labor market.
