The popular youth movement in Jerusalem called for Thursday and Friday, corresponding to May 18-19, to be considered days of the Palestinian flag in Jerusalem. This comes in conjunction with the occupation’s insistence on continuing its aggression against Al-Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem, and its intention to conduct the aggressive flag march next Thursday.
In a statement distributed and circulated on the Internet, the youth movement called on the revolutionary youth of Jerusalem and all those stationed there to raise the flags of Palestine in every square, above every home, school, and in cars, and in every way that could express its authentic Palestinian Arab identity, noting that this national effort It comes as a continuation of the battle fought by the valiant resistance in proud Gaza.
The movement stressed the necessity of distributing the crowd and the effort between confronting the storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque in the morning, and confronting the march of flags in Bab al-Amoud Square in the afternoon, and the need for all the squares of Palestine and abroad to respond, on a large scale, to the call of Al-Aqsa Square and Bab al-Amoud Square.
The movement also called on the proud and steadfast people of the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip and the diaspora who aspire to return to raising the Palestinian flag in every square and at every border point they can reach.
In a message to the Israeli enemy, the statement said: “We say to the usurping occupier that your sovereignty over Jerusalem is nothing but an illusion in your imagination. This city will only be Arab and Islamic Jerusalem and will not be Jewish Jerusalem one day. The day you display this illusion, we will turn it into a day for the covenant with the imminent liberation of this city, God willing.”
