The Israeli occupation municipality in the city of Jerusalem threatened the Jerusalemite citizen Atta Ali Al-Sawahra with demolishing his residential building under the pretext of building without a permit.

The Jerusalem News correspondent said that the occupation municipality gave Al-Sawahra until next Wednesday, corresponding to 6/8/2024, to demolish his building himself.

The correspondent added that the occupation municipality threatened Al-Sawahra with paying the full demolition costs, which could exceed a quarter of a million shekels, if its crews and bulldozers demolished the building.

The residential building consists of 3 residential floors containing 6 apartments inhabited by 50 members of the Al-Sawahra family.

Our correspondent reported that the building threatened with demolition was built in 2002, and the Sawahreh family has issued several decisions to freeze its demolition, while the occupation imposed tens of thousands of shekels in fines for building violations and costs of licensing procedures.
