Today, Monday, the occupation bulldozers carried out extensive demolition operations in the Al-Bustan neighborhood in the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa, which included 9 homes, a parking lot, and a warehouse.
The Beit Al-Maqdis News correspondent reported that what the occupation demolished today in Al-Bustan neighborhood: 5 houses for the Shafe’ family, 2 houses for the Abu Diab family, a house for the Jalajel family, a house for the Bashir family, and warehouses and a parking lot for the Al-Tawil family.
Today’s demolition massacre has displaced 46 Jerusalemites. The Jalajel family consists of 4 members, the Abu Diab family consists of 12 members, while 15 members live in the demolished homes of the Abu Shafe’ family, as is the case in the Bashir family home, which is inhabited by 15 members.
The five demolished homes of the Abu Shafe’ family belong to Jerusalemite Sabah Abu Shafe’ and her sons “Ali, Rami, Adi, and Ghadir.” They were built between 1993-2000, and the area of each one ranges between “50-60” square meters. The families paid fines for “unlicensed construction” of more than 100 thousand shekels, but that did not prevent the occupation from demolishing them today.
The Jalajel family home was built 8 years ago, while the Abu Diab family home was built in 2014, and the Bashir family home was built 15 years ago.
The occupation threatens Al-Bustan neighborhood with displacement so that it can establish a biblical garden on the ruins of the neighborhood.
