The Israeli occupation municipality crews in Jerusalem recently hung advertisements talking about the approval of a new settlement plan in the heart of Jerusalem.

The plan, which has been submitted for approval since 2000, targets dozens of streets around the Old City.

According to the Jerusalem News correspondent, the project extends over 700 dunams, and includes 40 main and side streets in Jerusalem.

The settlement plan includes: Street No. 1, Salah al-Din, Sultan Suleiman, Zahraa, and Rashid streets, and the streets in the Musrara area and the Wadi al-Joz and Sheikh Jarrah neighborhoods.

As stated in the announcement distributed by the occupation municipality, work on this settlement plan and the associated evictions and demolition of Jerusalemites’ properties will extend for decades, leading to the Judaization of the heart of Jerusalem and the surroundings of the Old City.
